Our core commitment
Student data entered into WiseBoard is used solely to operate the service for the teacher who entered it. It is never sold, shared with advertisers, or used to build commercial profiles. This is not a policy footnote ; it is the founding principle of how WiseBoard handles data.
FERPA Aligned
WiseBoard is designed in alignment with the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA). Student educational records are only used to operate the service ; never for advertising, analytics sales, or any secondary commercial purpose.
Data Encrypted in Transit & at Rest
All data transmitted between your browser and WiseBoard servers is protected with TLS (HTTPS). Your stored data ; including student names, grades, and behavioral records ; is encrypted at rest using industry-standard AES-256 encryption.
Your Data Is Never Sold
WiseBoard does not sell, rent, license, or share your data or your students' data with any third party for commercial purposes ; ever. Your classroom information belongs to you and your students. Period.
Minimal Data Collection
We collect only the data necessary to run WiseBoard ; your account information, lesson and class content you create, and behavioral or grade data you enter. We do not collect biometric data, device fingerprinting, or browsing behavior outside of WiseBoard.
Right to Delete
You can delete your account and all associated data at any time from your account settings. Upon deletion, your data is permanently removed from our systems within 30 days. We do not retain deleted data for marketing or analytical purposes.

Privacy Questions & Answers
Is WiseBoard COPPA compliant?
WiseBoard accounts are created by teachers and administrators ; not directly by students. Teachers enter student names and data on behalf of the class. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13 without verifiable parental consent.
Can my school district use WiseBoard?
Yes. Many districts allow teachers to use instructional tools that align with FERPA. WiseBoard is designed with these standards in mind. For district-level procurement or a formal privacy agreement (DPA), please contact us at info@mywiseboardclassroom.com.
Where is my data stored?
WiseBoard data is stored on servers located in the United States. We do not transfer or store user data in jurisdictions that lack equivalent data protection standards.
Who has access to my data?
Only you have access to your classroom data through your WiseBoard account. Our engineering team may access data in limited circumstances for troubleshooting or support, always bound by strict confidentiality obligations. No third parties have access to your student data.
How long is my data retained?
Your data is retained for as long as your account is active. If you cancel your account, data remains available for 30 days in case you change your mind, after which it is permanently deleted.
Do you use my data to train AI models?
No. The lesson content, student records, grades, and behavioral data you enter into WiseBoard are never used to train external AI models. AI-powered features in WiseBoard use your data only to generate the response you requested, in that moment.
